Origins
Zhitang began with a journey across the plateau. In the workshops of Barkhor Street, artisans draw lines with mineral pigments and raise patterns with copper hammers — a single piece often takes weeks or months to finish. We believe these crafts deserve to be seen by more people, and to be used and treasured in everyday life.
Craft
We focus on three Himalayan traditional crafts: thangka painting, carrying on centuries of tradition with mineral pigments and fine lines; copper forging, where hammer marks record the rhythm of handwork — every strike one of a kind; and Tibetan incense, hand-rolled from juniper, medicinal herbs and botanicals by traditional recipes.

Sourced at origin — we work directly with artisans and workshops, with clear provenance. Handmade first — we respect the marks of handwork and never mass-produce.
